Last night I had the pleasure of performing close-up magic and mind reading at one of Belfast's most anticipated luxury launches of the year.
Held at the ICC Belfast, the event celebrated the arrival of Nomadic's brand-new Dána 141 watch, the latest release from the fast-growing Belfast watchmaker that's attracting attention well beyond Northern Ireland. Designed and assembled in Belfast, the Dána 141 represents a bold new chapter for the brand, combining elegant Art Deco influences with exceptional craftsmanship.
The evening was hosted by acclaimed Northern Irish actor James Nesbitt and brought together guests from the worlds of business, design, media and luxury lifestyle.
To mark the occasion, I created a series of brand-new time-themed magic effects exclusively for the event. Inspired by the themes of precision, design and the passage of time, the routines were performed throughout the evening alongside casino gaming tables, live entertainment and the official unveiling of the Dána 141.
Luxury watchmaking and close-up magic have more in common than people might think. Both rely on precision, attention to detail and creating moments that leave a lasting impression. It made the perfect combination for an event focused on craftsmanship, innovation and style.
One of the things I love most about corporate events like this is the opportunity to create genuine moments of astonishment between guests. Seeing groups stop mid-conversation, gather around a table and share an unforgettable experience together is always special, particularly at events celebrating local success stories.
Nomadic continues to put Belfast craftsmanship on an international stage, and it was a privilege to play a small part in the launch of what promises to be another landmark chapter in the company's journey.
Congratulations to the entire Nomadic team on a fantastic evening and the successful launch of the Dána 141.
