Checked in ahead of my wedding performance in beautiful Donegal. Couldn’t resist adding a little magic the moment I arrived. If you’re planning your big day and want something unforgettable for your guests, I’d love to bring the magic to you.
Holding a monthly residency as a magician is rare anywhere in the world — and in Northern Ireland, it’s almost unheard of. That’s why I’m incredibly proud to be the only magician in Northern Ireland with a permanent residency, performing at the award‑winning Rabbit Hotel & Retreat on the first Sunday of every month.
This residency isn’t just a booking in my calendar. It’s a creative home. A place where I get to build something ongoing, evolving, and deeply personal — a space where guests return month after month to experience magic that feels alive, intimate, and tailored to the atmosphere of the hotel.
A residency allows me to:
Craft a signature experience that grows and changes over time
Build a relationship with returning guests who follow the journey month to month
Experiment with new material in a live, real‑world environment
Create a consistent magical presence within one of Northern Ireland’s most stylish venues
For guests, it means they’re not just seeing a magician — they’re stepping into a curated, evolving world of magic that exists only at The Rabbit.
The Rabbit Hotel is known for its warm atmosphere, bold personality, and unforgettable hospitality. It’s a place that celebrates experiences — and magic thrives in that kind of environment.
Performing there feels effortless and joyful. The energy of the space, the people who come through the doors, and the team who run the venue all contribute to a setting where magic doesn’t just entertain… it belongs.
Whether it’s the monthly residency or special seasonal events, every performance at The Rabbit feels like a collaboration between the venue, the guests, and the magic itself.
If you’re planning a visit to The Rabbit Hotel, join me on the first Sunday of the month. And if you’re considering magic for your own wedding, corporate event, or celebration, the residency is the ideal way to see my work up close.

Every so often, someone takes the time to write a few words about their experience — and it genuinely means the world. Performing magic is always a two‑way exchange: I bring the routines, but the real magic happens in the reactions, the laughter, and the shared moments of surprise.
When someone later sits down to describe how it felt for them, it’s the best encouragement I could ask for. Reviews also help people looking for a magician for their wedding, party, or corporate event get a sense of what I do and how it feels in the room — which is something I can never fully capture on my own.
Here are a few recent comments that made me smile…
“From start to finish, Caolan had the room completely captivated. His mind-reading tricks were simply incredible — leaving guests genuinely stunned and wondering how on earth he managed it. His manipulation skills were flawless, delivered with such smooth precision that you couldn’t take your eyes off him.”
“I hired Caolan for my wedding and if you are thinking about doing the same or for any event, you HAVE to! Caolan is the best, he absolutely blew away all our guests, and all our friends were talking about it the next time we saw them. To this day I think about the trick he did for me and my new husband - I will never understand how that worked!”
“I couldn’t recommend Caolan enough, you would go a long way to find better value for money for any event and you couldn’t ask for a nicer man to join your party.”

Performing for Tobermore, one of the UK’s leading manufacturing companies, was an absolute highlight of my year so far. Their Annual Sales Conference 2026 brought together an incredible team from across the U.K. and Ireland — energetic, curious, and fully up for a night of magic, mind-reading, and laughter.
From the moment I stepped on stage, the room had that rare spark performers dream of. Every routine landed with huge reactions, and the atmosphere just kept building. But the moment that will stay with me for a long time was the standing ovation at the end of the show. I’m genuinely grateful for it — it was unexpected, overwhelming, and a reminder of why I love doing what I do.
I’ve included a short video capturing that ovation moment below. It’s one of those memories I’ll carry with me into every future performance.
Thank you again to the entire Tobermore team for the warmth, enthusiasm, and unforgettable night.

I’m delighted to share that I’ll be bringing an evening of magic, mystery, and memorable moments to Portrush Yacht Club on February 20th, all in support of a cause close to many hearts — Portrush Lifeboat Station and the RNLI.
This special night will feature walkaround magic to welcome you in, followed by a stand‑up show packed with surprises, laughter, and a few impossible moments you’ll be talking about long after the tide goes out.
Tickets: £12.50
Every penny from ticket sales goes directly to the RNLI, supporting the volunteers who keep our coastline safe year‑round.
Whether you’re a long‑time supporter of the lifeboats or simply fancy a night of wonder in great company, I’d love to see you there.
Let’s raise vital funds — and raise a few eyebrows — together.
I was delighted to return to The 500 Club Dinner & Awards for the third year running, bringing a little extra sparkle to an already spectacular evening. It’s always a highlight in the calendar — a room full of energy, celebration, and people who know how to enjoy themselves.
This year’s event was no exception. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing, and it was a joy to perform for such an enthusiastic crowd. Laughter, surprises, and plenty of unforgettable reactions filled the night, making it one of the most enjoyable editions yet.
A huge thank‑you to The 500 Club team for the continued trust and warm welcome. It’s a privilege to be part of this annual celebration, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s festivities.

It’s hard to believe that a month has already passed since Unlocking Sherlock closed its run at the Belfast International Arts Festival. Looking back, I’m filled with pride at what i managed to achieve. And it simply wouldn’t have been possible without the help from some amazing people. Theatre is never the work of one person alone. Unlocking Sherlock was built through countless hours of rehearsal, creative problem‑solving, and the dedication of a brilliant team who poured their energy into every detail. From the performers on stage to the crew behind the scenes, each person helped unlock something magical.
I am deeply grateful to the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, whose support through their grant made Unlocking Sherlock possible. Their investment in the arts not only enabled me to bring this ambitious theatrical project to life at the Belfast International Arts Festival, but also affirmed the value of creative risk‑taking and collaboration. Without their backing, this journey of mystery, magic, and storytelling would not have reached the stage. Thank you A.C.N.I. :)
This project was more than just a show — it was a puzzle, a mystery, and a celebration of storytelling. To see audiences lean in, laugh, and puzzle their way through the experience was a reminder of why we make theatre in the first place.
Though the curtain has fallen for now, this is far from the end. Unlocking Sherlock will return — and when it does, expect new surprises, fresh clues, and more theatrical sleight‑of‑hand. Watch this space for updates.
To everyone who joined us at the Festival, thank you for being part of the journey. Your curiosity and enthusiasm gave the show its heartbeat. And to the team who made it possible: I couldn’t be prouder!

Last night, Caolan stepped into the spotlight as a panel contestant at Craic’s 90—Belfast’s fast-paced gameshow and comedy night that’s quickly becoming a cult favourite. Hosted at the ever-buzzing Spaniard Comedy Club, the evening brought together a riotous mix of six comedians and two magicians, serving up a blend of belly laughs and baffling mysteries to a packed and electric crowd.
With its mix of stand-up, spontaneous games, and a touch of illusion, Craic’s 90 delivers a truly one-of-a-kind night out in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. If you’ve never seen a magician go head-to-head with a comedian, you haven’t lived.

Expect clever tricks, rapid-fire humour, and a night of interactive entertainment that’s as intellectually playful as it is hilarious.
This one-of-a-kind live comedy event in Belfast blends illusion with improvisation—perfect for fans of panel shows, magic, and mental gymnastics. Don’t miss your chance to see Caolan as you’ve never seen him before: unscripted, unpredictable, and utterly unforgettable.
Caolan McBride Magician uses his magic skills to uncover the truth!
One of the joys of being a professional magician is the variety of creative projects I get to work on — especially when it involves collaborating with actors, directors, and producers across stage and screen. As a magic consultant for theatre and television, I’m often brought in to teach performers how to convincingly execute sleight-of-hand or scripted illusions, even if they’ve never handled a deck of cards before.
These magic moments aren’t just visual flourishes — they’re often key plot points that need to feel seamless and real. That’s where I come in. I work closely with actors, helping them learn and rehearse the magical effect so that by the time cameras roll or curtains rise, it looks effortless.
Whether it's for a period drama, a live stage play, or a contemporary series, my role is to make the impossible feel not only possible... but natural.
Recently, i was asked to collaborate on a production called The Children of Wolves. The process was fascinating for several reasons. The script was amazing, the director had a wonderful and clear vision and the main actor that i worked with already had some skill in performing magic and was a really fast learner, too!
Check out the video below to see what The Children of Wolves was all about…
There's something truly special about live events—the buzz, the connection, the shared moments of joy. As compere, I relish the role of guiding the rhythm of the day, keeping things flowing while adding just a touch of magic along the way.
Today, I had the pleasure of hosting the 42nd annual School’s Arts Competition—a celebration of creativity and youthful imagination. The sheer talent on display was nothing short of inspiring. It was a joy and an honour to be part of it.
